Announces Partnership with Newly Formed SPECTRUM Commercial Properties

The Peacock Hotel & Spa Begins to Rise

Greenville, SC – Kent Properties unveiled KENTWORLDWIDE DEVELOPMENT, the Greenville-based company’s visionary new brand, to 75 guests during a media event and corporate gathering at Devereaux’s on Monday.  Capping the event, a new sign announcing The Peacock Hotel & Spa was also unveiled at the adjacent construction site.

KENTWORLDWIDE DEVELOPMENT’s Vision is to develop premier properties, build innovative partnerships, and create sustainable business models for the real estate industry of the future.

Additionally, SPECTRUM Commercial Properties, LLC, a new partner company to KENTWORLDWIDE DEVELOPMENT was launched.  SPECTRUM will become a vital corporate engine for KENT, actively acquiring, developing, and managing new and existing properties.  KWWD President/CEO, Mark Kent introduced Greenville businessman, Jack Snedigar, as SPECTRUM’s President and Broker-in-Charge.  Snedigar confirmed that the new company is in the initial hiring process, and has up-fit the 8th floor of the Historic Chamber Building for its corporate offices. 

The Peacock Hotel and Spa, LLC and KENTWORLDWIDE DEVELOPMENT, co-developers of the 75-room one-of-a-kind luxury hotel being constructed in the heart of Greenville’s central business district, jointly gave an update presentation on the upscale boutique hotel’s progress.  Gil Patrick, President and General Manager, revealed new renderings and provided additional details about special features which include a planned 6,000 sq ft spa, 10,000 sq ft meeting and banquet space, and a guest room portfolio incorporating 12 suites – including a presidential suite.  Additionally, 8 luxury residences atop Greenville’s newest high-rise hotel have all been pre-sold.

In addition to his role as President/CEO of KENTWORLDWIDE DEVELOPMENT, Mark Kent also serves as President of KENTWORLDWIDE and KENTWOOL.  Kent is extremely active in South Carolina manufacturing, business, economic development and philanthropic circles, and serves on numerous strategic boards including the American Red Cross Upstate South Carolina Chapter and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
